How does shipping work?
Lanae is located in Austin, TX, Salt Lake City, UT and Lititz, PA. We ship to the continental US and our cabinets are in stock.

• UPS® Ground (2-5 Business Days) up to 140 lbs
• Freight (3-7 Business Days)
• FREE Freight (3-7 Business Days) on orders over $2995
Transit time estimates are not guaranteed.
We have daily UPS® pickups. UPS® orders are typically shipped the same or next business day. LTL Freight Orders are also usually picked up within the same timeframe but may require additional processing time, especially for larger orders. Weekend orders will be processed on Monday and shipped as soon as possible.
LTL freight is a curbside delivery (not inside).

Why is freight shipping the only option on some items?
Certain larger cabinets and other items are not available for UPS shipping due to their size. We offer freight shipping for large items.

Can I paint Lanae cabinets?
Yes, you can paint our cabinets. Our UV-cured paint functions as a durable primer for your personalized paint application. To ensure a strong mechanical bond, we recommend sanding our cabinets with 300 grit sandpaper before applying the paint.
How do I layout my kitchen?
The functionality of your kitchen greatly depends on the layout, and there are some general guidelines to follow. Firstly, placing the dishwasher next to the sink. Additionally, we suggest incorporating a pullout trash can nearby, either next to the sink or in the island if you have one. To optimize cooking efficiency, a spice rack cabinet should be located close to the range, and a large three drawer cabinet is ideal for storing pots and pans.
When planning the layout of your kitchen appliances, it's important to keep foot traffic in mind. Consider whether more than one person will be using the kitchen at the same time and whether the open refrigerator door will block any high-traffic areas.
Do I need door clearance?
If you are placing a cabinet next to a wall we recommend a 1/4-1/2” filler to allow the cabinet door to open completely.
Another factor to consider is the placement of corner cabinets. If your kitchen has a corner, it's recommended to use a 1.5-inch filler to ensure that cabinet doors can open without obstruction. It's common to forget the filler, which can result in the cabinet on the left not clearing the knob of the cabinet on the right when opening the door.
Fortunately, our lazy susan base cabinets and easy reach wall cabinets have bifold doors and don't require a filler, allowing them to open unobstructed.
How much does a kitchen cost?

What are standard appliance sizes?
Refrigerator: Standard width is 36 inches.
Range/Cooktop: Standard width is 30 inches.
Dishwasher: Standard width is 24 inches.
Wall Oven: Standard width is 30 inches.
Microwave: Standard width is 30 inches.
Sink: Common sink sizes range from 24 to 36 inches in width.
These dimensions may vary, so it's advisable to check specific product specifications.
Do I need skin panels?
Our cabinet main boxes/carcasses are universal with white painted exterior sides. Only the Fronts (Face Frame, Doors and Drawer fronts) will be finished in your selected color, or stain. If any sides of your cabinets will be exposed, you will want to order a color matched skin panel for the exposed side/s.
White cabinets, glass door cabinets, and spice drawer cabinets come with pre-matched sides and do not require skin panels.
Each cabinet will come in two boxes: a carcass box and a front box. For example, C-B36-WHT and F-B36-BLK.

They included all the needed pieces, even extra screws. When I had difficulty following the video for a more complicated cabinet, I was able to call Lanae and get instructions and help over the phone. The quality is good, however the installation is not as easy as the 5 minute video depicts. We had the following issues:
1. There are no written directions. The 5 minute video is not a true representation of the installation.
2. One of the cabinet doors is warped.
3. It was difficult to put on the back of the cabinet and it does not slide in as easily as the video depicts.
4. The additional items that the site recommends is very misleading. We thought we had to also buy the skin panels for the sides and that was not the case. We returned them, but had to pay a 20% restocking fee of $69.98.
5. The crown moulding is not easy to install and the site should have directions for this as well.
6. The installation DEFINITELY requires someone skilled in carpentry and your site should state that!!Also, there are no pre-drilled holes to install the handles.

The same cabinet without drawers at lowes was 400$ with now drawers and not available for a few months on back order. My home was destroyed by hurricane Ian. I got some quotes from local cabinet places but the pricing was crazy and then installation was additional. To make it worse, I was looking at months to get them installed and I had already been 6 months throwing out things, cleaning up, and having my drywall replaced. I wanted my kitchen back and at a reasonable price. I decided to test my skills at cabinet assembly. Since I wasn't sure of my abilities, I ordered one cabinet to see how it went. I figured if I screwed it up, it could go in the garage.
From order to delivery was 3 days! Wow. That was impressive. Assembly was pretty simple snd the cabinet quality was everything I could hope for. There were no special tools required, just some wood glue and a rubber mallet. Actually, getting the right amount of glue on the cabinet turned out to be the biggest challenge. Hint. Less is more.
I decided to place an order for the rest of the kitchen which involved 24 boxes. That was a little daunting. Again, delivery was quick and accurate. Starting with the base and wall cabinets proved simple, after the first couple. I managed 3-4 cabinets per day. The lazy Susan was tricky and a pie shaped corner cabinet was a mind bender, but a quick phone call to the company and I was back on track. They were vaery kind and helpful.
Installation and leveling the base cabinet was a bit more difficult. A newer home with level floors would be helpful but the granite installers commented that it was one of the better installations they had seen.
I must say I am very proud of my kitchen and love it even more since I built it.
This company is top notch as are their cabinets. If you have any sense of adventure and basic skills, this is a great option. I had a friend helping me and we had agood time with a lot of laughs. It cost less than half of what I would have paid a company and even with my slow assembly, I had my kitchen together 2 months before I could have had it done. If you aren't sure, do what I did and try just one to see how it goes. These guys will be there for you. Customer service is great.-Paula R
